Valley Aviation Society Presentations 2010

Valley Aviation Society In addition to the £1,800 given to local charities throughout 2009, we have once again raised a further £3,000 through the V-A-S Cabin (well done Tom Brown) and we will be donating the full amount to our selected charities.

After discussion in the Valley Aviation Society Committee, the following groups/charities are to receive donations , the amounts as follows:

£1000 - RAF Valley Charities Committee

£400 - Alice Ward Fund - Gobowan Hospital

£400 - St David's Hospice - Llandudno

£400 - Child Development Centre - Bangor

£400 - Crysalis

£200 - Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organization

£200 - Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team

An additional £1152.50p has been raised for charities in 2009/10, involving the V-A-S Cabin, and was donated to:

Cancer Research

RAF Valley Base Charities, 19 Sqn & 208 Sqn Target Charities

SAR Force.

Two North Wales Mountain Rescue Teams received donations of £200 each. Ron Williams and Ken Dwyer of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team collected a cheque for themselves and another cheque on behalf of LLanberis Mountain Rescue Team, which were presented by VAS Chairman, Jack Thomas.
